Welcome to GEBCO Week and Map the Gaps Symposium. This is an annual event focused exclusively on bathymetry around the globe, large lakes and the technologies, policies and trends that support them.
GEBCO, started in 1921, is a project run under the auspices of UNESCO and IHO with a charge to collect, collate and publish the best possible comprehensive grid of ocean floor data.
Map the Gaps, started in 2019, is a non-profit organization that brings together ocean mapping professionals to support ocean mapping missions and encourage outreach and growth in the community.
